The highly acclaimed grassroots event returns after a year of inactivity due to the pandemic, and is ready to once more welcome young footballers, this time expanding to more cities around Greece. The Legends 2004 Youth Cup is becoming an institution and after its successful inaugural event in 2019, it will travel in six cities around Greece.
Starting with Agrinion on June 12th, the Non Profit Company Champions For Life and, of course, the members of the Legends 2004 Football Team, will meet with young, aspiring footballers, boys and girls with the purpose of sharing their values and ideals, the joy of sport, to teach the principals of team play and offer their expertise.
It is simply wonderful to watch the interaction between the children and the living legends of Greek Football. This is a tournament to entertain and to educate on a theoretical but also on a practical/competitive level. Its base priority to infuse the young athletes with the values of Fairplay and noble antagonism, chiselling their sports character and mentality.
The Legends 2004 Youth Cup was first enacted on Thursday June 20 2019 at the Municipal Football Field in Chalandri, Athens, within the organisation for the celebration of the 15 years anniversary since the Euro 2004 triumph. With the invaluable contribution and donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, the Legends 2004 hosted more than 200 young footballers from the academies of A.E.K., Aristeas Argos, Atromitos Chalandri, Dimitra-Apollon 2005, Olympiakos Piraeus, Panathinaikos, Panionios and Paneiliakos to a profoundly successful event.
This year's Legends 2004 Youth Cup is an evolution and continuation of that inaugural event and will be held from June to September 2021 in facilities at six cities around Greece:

The Legends 2004 Youth Cup is held by the Non Profit Company Champions For Life with the support and donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. The young athletes and their respective academies, participate free of charge.
During the course of the events, all the necessary health protocols and provisions of the Greek Health Authorities will be followed. Very soon more information will be available concerning the attending academies and the full schedule for each event.
